We stayed at the eterlous for a week from Jan 7th 2017. First the good points, and there are many. The chalet has a massive area for guests to relax and have dinner. The chalet hosts were excellent. Both Izzy and Harvey were superb whenever we requested anything. The food was great. I enjoyed all the meals and the week we were there they had a couple of veggies and a gluten free guest. I didn't hear any complaints. The real fire was great to sit in front of after dinner. Our kids 10,8,6 loved izzy and Harvey and the hosts never complained about the kids constant requests for water or some other issue that arose. There was also a good selection of games to play either pre dinner or after. |I would recommend this chalet to anyone wanting a good enjoyable holiday. Having said that, Skiworld could improve things. Room 5 and 6 need to lose their bath and have proper showers installed. A room full of four people (room 6) skiing all day do not want to wait 30 mins for a bath to fill each time someone wants to freshen up. |Secondly their is a hot tub on the first floor that is not for people staying at the eterlous but is a ski world hot tub. This is a ridiculous state of affairs. Either let the eterlous clients (max 14 people) pay for access, or If that is an issue, install one on the massive patio on the first floor for the eterlous guests. |Lastly the wifi was poor. I had little issues but there were some people complaining about being unable to connect. |As seasoned skiers we were not expecting the greatest chalet in the world but we were very impressed and loved every minute. It helps to have some people who are up for a laugh in the chalet with you and we were lucky. A family of aussies and a couple from Staffordshire and a trainee vet and interior architect were great company all week. |Lastly I never saw it but the revamp to room one was said to be superb. If Skiworld are intending to spruce up the other rooms in a similar manner this chalet will be even better for 2017/18 season. | Thanks Izzy, Harvey & skiworld for a great holiday. |

Stayed here in December, lovely Chalet with the ground floor rooms having been refurbished, walk in shower, separate toilet in each room, comfortable beds. Only downside in room 1 is the small window that backs on to stairs going up to the next chalet. The lounge area is very spacious, it was previously a chalet for 32 and now is for 12 - 14, so plenty of room for everyone and comfortable chairs, they also have games and a football table. The reps provided plenty of information and literature every day and also a forecast for the day. The chalet hosts were very good and the food was good, a typical menu for Ski World, the only complaint was the sausages were rubbish, but you had 3 hot options each morning, so couldn't really complain., Wine flowed freely. Chalet hosts put up the menu on a board each morning. The ski store room was spacious with heated boot warmers, lovely to put warm boots on each morning

A group of 10 of us took over Les Eterlous for a weeks skiing holiday. We were hosted by Skiworld - our chalet hosts were Simon and JP who really looked after us. The 3-course meals were exceptional.||The Chalet has been improved - on the ground floor the rooms have been modernised and all have showers. However upstairs the rooms are still a bit jaded and only have a bath. ||The one thing we did miss this skiing season was a sauna - no part of this chalet but on the plus side the living area is vary spacious and better thans some hostels we have stayed in.||The Chalet is excellently located for access to the pistes - approx 3 or 4 minutes walk from the Marmottes 1, Les Romains and Rif-Nel Express lifts.||Definitely recommended.

A pleasant shared chalet with excellent hosts. The decor is nice enough and rooms comfortable. The location is good - very close to the lifts and a short walk to the resort centre. Would definitely return. The food provided by Ski World chalet hosts is excellent. Just over an hour and a half from Grenoble.

Our chalet hosts were so attentative, polite and helpful. Had a wonderful week skiing made all the better by great food at the chalet, and excellent staff. There was a very short walk to the lifts and you could ski back right to the door. Great ski resort. Highly recommend it.

The Chalet Hosts JP and Simon were EXCELLENT! The food was delicious, and they tailored meals for our two year old daughter which was a nice touch. The chalet is going through a renovation so some parts look a bit shabby around the edges, but this does not detract from the charm of the place at all. ||||Les Bergers is a short walk away meaning that the slopes, shops and bars are less than a 5 minute walk.||||A lovely stay and great memories.

We stayed in Chalet Les Eterlous in February 2015 as a party of four adults; two in room 10 (twin with en-suite shower and separate toilet) and two in room 13 (large quad with en-suite bath and separate toilet). These were right at the top, no lift so a struggle with luggage and tiring at the end of the day. However, we had the best view with both being the only rooms having clear views overlooking the snow covered golf course (see photo). Absolutely beautiful! You can see and hear the occasional light aircraft taking off or landing in the daytime but it didn't cause any problem but was quite interesting to see the brightly coloured planes contrasted against the white snow. ||The room 13 was a good size, L shaped, with two beds in the main part and two in an area under the eaves. There was only one radiator but it kept the room very warm. The toilet had a non working radiator so was cold but no bother. The bathroom was also a bit cold and could have done with a radiator. It was nice to have a bath after a hard days skiing. The taps had a shower attachment but with the sloping ceiling, I could only have a "hunched over" shower in the morning. There wasn't a great deal of storage space , enough for us but probably a squash for four people. ||My son and his girlfriend in room 10 said their room was too cold with just a small radiator. They ended up running the shower to warm up the room with the steam and also using our bath in the evening, again, to warm up.||(I would point out they say Room 11 does not have an en-suite toilet but the toilet in the corridor is private. Not! I think quite a few people used this 'private' facility) ||||The chalet offered free wifi although this was a little temperamental but worked most of the time. The lounge area was roomy with big comfy sofas, plenty of room for all guests at the same time. It was heated by radiators and there was also an open fire but after a couple of evenings which ended up with the lounge filling with smoke it was decided not to have it lit anymore. Either the chimney needs sweeping or they were using damp logs. The lounge also had a table football game and large TV with DVD player (bring your own). The dining area was functional but the furnishings were not as warm or welcoming. Note, the dinning area was not the layout or furniture shown in the brochure.||The boot room was very good, with seating, ski racks, helmet storage and heated boot holders and a couple of toilets. The heating was excellent. ||The staff of four live on site and looked after us very well. They were always busy, or cooking or serving cleaning and tidying. A great team! Very friendly and helpful, a credit to Skiworld.||The breakfasts offered a choice of three cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, bread, spreads, fruit juice and a hot option of 3 items (for example bacon/sausage/mushrooms, French toast/bacon/beans, scrambled egg/smoked salmon/fresh tomato). ||The afternoon spread was usually bread, spreads, fresh fruit and home made cake, tray bakes or cookies. Ingredients and facilities to make coffee, teas and hot chocolate were always available anytime. ||The evening was a three course meal and used local ingredients or recipes. There was only a one choice set meal but vegetarians and people with dietary needs were looked after. There was always plenty of red and white wine. Not sure if this was any good as our party didn't drink but other people always finished it off so I guess it was! On the last evening the staff also provided a selection of canapes and mulled wine. I really enjoyed all the meals, they were interesting, cooked and presented well, plentiful and tasty. ||The local Skiworld rep Matt visited every day. He was very attentive, made sure he chatted to every group, not to sell but seemed genuinely interested in how the guests were enjoying their holiday. He sorted out some ESF problems for one group and they seemed very appreciative of his help.||The chalet is in The Bergers areas and the nearest lift (Auris) is about 200m and the Marmot 1 lift about 300m. Not far but it seemed longer at the end of the day. There is a route to ski back, the green Romain run I think. It runs alongside the chalet and is hardly used so is useful for kids and big kids to sledge down.||There is a small shopping centre nearby with quite a few bars, cafes, chemist, ski hire, gift shops and supermarket, lift pass sales and medical centre. There is also a pizza / burger restaurant almost next door. (Tip - it was practically empty on the Wednesday staff night off. Saved us a trip into town and the food was good). ||Grab a timetable and use the free shuttle bus. It stops close by. Take the Fraise / Strawberry bus from the stop outside Hotel Le Pic Blanc Hotel to avoid the crowds at the next stop, Bergers by the shops. Get off at Cognet for a short walk to the DMC lift, or Place Jean Moulin which is in the town centre. It also stops by the Palais de Sports for the cinema, ice rink and indoor swimming pool. ||The Bergers area is quiet but has everything most people would need. The walk back to the chalet at the end of the day was short but VERY tiring in ski boots. I've stayed in other parts of Alpe D'Huez and prefer the Eclose area where you can ski in and out more easily but the Les Eterhous is still a good choice. I would happily stay there again. I have also used Skiworld before and think they are brilliant. I only rated it 4 out of 5 just because I hated the walk back after a day of skiing.||||PS the transfer time from Grenoble was 1.5 hours

This is a 3 star chalet so we weren't expecting luxury but heating on the top floor would have been great. The extractor fan from the kitchen for some reason was incredibly noisy in room 10 on the 3rd floor. That aside, the chalet was great for our group of 27 (13 kids and 14 adults). Kids were fed first at half five, no chicken nuggets or pizza in sight, they ate fantastically as did us adults. The food far exceeded our expectations (veg options delicious too!). Afternoon tea was plentiful and tasty too. Great boot room.
