Nous avions loué ce chalet l année passée avec nos amis , j avais fais quelque remarques au propriétaire concernant le sèche chaussures pour 12 paires alors qu il y a 14 couchages . |Il a fait l aménagement nécessaires car maintenant il y a de quoi faire sécher au moins 20 paires de chaussures en plus il a fait une petite pièce pour mette ses chaussures de ski bien à son aise .|Il n y a plus de chambres mansardés , deux des chambres de l étages ont été agrandies par un chien-assis |Il est certain que je louerai à nouveau ce chalet si notre groupes d amis décide de partir à nouveau à l'alpe d'huez.|

Nous avons passé une semaine quasi parfaite , petite bémol une chambre est mansardé et donc difficile pour des adultes, la pièce de séjour est assez grande et malgre des soucis de chauffage résolu en cours de séjour, je louerai à nouveau ce chalet sans hésiter

I have stayed at Les Carines twice and a better host (Richard) you could not find. Very cheery and friendly and possibly the most helpful ski resort worker I have ever met. And that's before I praise his cooking...........which was simply magnificent. Nothing was too much trouble for him.||||The chalet itself is very comfortable. The rooms are not big, but that is to be expected with chalets, but there is enough room for all the guests to sit in the lounge together which so often isn't the case with chalets. The location in the Altiport area is very convenient to (almost) ski in/ski out (it's a 2 minute walk to the run) and although it is a bit of a walk down to the town centre, we found that the hospitality in the chalet was so much fun that we just stayed in and carried on drinking after dinner... :-)||||All in all I would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Third time with Ski France in Aple D'Huez, second time at Chalet Les Carines. Big thanks to James and Catherine for looking after us so well, good food well prepared on time and very amenable characters. ||The Chalet has had a makeover and is quite comfortable. Rooms not huge but you only sleep in them anyway. Beds reasonably comfy although the central heating could be turned down a bit at night. Our rooms had full height patio type doors leading onto the balcony with vista views ccross the mountains.||Weather absolutely perfect for skiing, snow late afternoon or night, sunshine in the day.||This Chalet is within 50m of the slopes down to one of the main lift areas, Les Bergers, and you can ski back on a green almost to the door.||Restaurants on the mountain are not cheap but huge portions are served, enough to share for two. Not that you need much to eat after full breakfast in the Chalet ( all prepared for you)||We really liked the friendly atmosphere experienced on this type of holiday, no real dislikes to speak of, although if you want to swim at the outdoor pool in town you will need your speedos, no shorts allowed?.||Looking forward to next year.

We had the room with a jacuzzi bath. Very pretty with fantastic views from our balcony. Our 2 girls loved their room which also had a balcony. The food is fantastic with a full cooked breakfast every day. Liked the fact that the kids ate with the adults and were given the same food. Location is pretty and convenient for skiing down a green run to the main area at bergers. James and Helena looked after as very well and they offered a friendly smile from dawn till dusk. The only negative is that this chalet isn't the most convenient for people who crave the nightlife in the town as the buses aren't very regular and it's a half hour walk up the hill home. Saying that 2 guys in our chalet managed to get a guy to drive them home regularly.....for a few euros. I would definitely return to this chalet and resort! Best ski runs, best instructor (Charlotte pilot) and prettiest place so far! 🙂

2 of the rooms on the top floor are under the eaves of the roof, standing upright is only possible in 50% of the sleeping area.If like members of my group you are 6Ft it seriously detracts from the holiday experience. However the Chalet is lovely and Richard our host was marvelous, nothing was too much trouble. The catering was excellent and the chalet's location was perfect almost ski in/out. I would recommend this chalet, but take care to avoid the afore mentioned rooms, unless you are very small!
