We stayed in the gite, tucked away next to the B&B. It had everything we needed and we were able to hire a crash pad for bouldering in the forest. The nearby bakery was a bonus for those essential morning pastries and baguettes, as was being able to borrow electric bikes to explore our surroundings. Stef was a friendly, helpful and knowledgeable host. All in all we had a great time and would certainly recommend to others. Will no doubt be back one day as our son is still determined to conquer Rainbow Rocket!

Stef's place was completely wonderful for our stay. We had our own room and bathroom that was extremely clean and well kept. The common living room, dining room, and kitchen were great to make our meals in (and to relax). We were able to get to know some of the other guests staying there as well. ||||Stef provided a fantastic breakfast in his house every morning, and was a pleasure to converse with (his English was fantastic, and he had zero judgement at our lack of French). He gave us local recommendations for bouldering (and rented us a crashpad) and for dining, all of which were great.||||We will definitely try to stay here again, and hopefully soon!

We’re a family of three and travelled with a few friends for a climbing trip to Fontainebleau. We could not have asked for a better place to stay! The accommodations were perfect for us. We had a bed for ourselves, and our daughter claimed top bunk, while her uncle slept on the lower bunk. Our friends had their own room and bathroom - Stef can prepare your room according to your sleeping needs. You each have your own private bathroom/shower, and your shared living common areas (kitchen, living room, laundry, etc.) are downstairs. Free wi-if and parking is included! You’re greeted every morning by Stef and the wonderful breakfast he prepares (with a trip to the bakery every morning) just for you. With a gorgeous view of the colorful garden outside, we enjoyed our morning talks with Stef and all the knowledge he shared with us about climbing, France, Fontainebleau, visitor attractions, etc. He is the epitome of hospitality - our home away from home. If you’re in the area for climbing, Stef also has crash pads available for you to rent! It’s a very central location to all the climbing areas, and has everything you would need for a home away from home. This is definitely our home for every trip back to Fontainbleau. ☺️

This hotel made our trip to Fontainebleau easy and fun. The hotel is only a 5-10 minute walk from everything in the town, which has an amazing bakery, a huge grocery store, and quaint Farmers' Market. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and in a beautiful old farmhouse. You have access to a kitchen with lots of ingredients, which made it easy for us to cook many meals. Stef provides breakfast in the morning as well, which is delicious. Try his homemade jam! We are avid climbers who speak no French and had never been to Fontainebleau, so we had no idea where to climb. Stef knows the forest incredibly well, and gave us great recommendations on where to climb and explore. Our trip would have been much more stressful without Stef to guide us. Not only that, but he helped us organize transportation on multiple occasions, and was very patient with our multitude of emails. He is a lovely, kind, interesting individual, who we loved having breakfast with every morning. This hotel is the perfect place for climbers, or anyone who wants a quaint French countryside experience! Even if you don't climb, there are hikes and golf nearby, as well as the famous Fontainebleau palace. I would not hesitate to stay here again. 10/10. 🙂

We stayed here for two nights to enjoy some bouldering in the forest of Fontainebleau at the beginning of our holiday, and Stef was a perfect and knowledgeable host. He directed us to the best nearby spots - and hired us a crash mat, which is indispensable. It was great to have space to relax, cook and eat in addition to our comfortable rooms. The breakfasts were pretty special too.

Wonderful B&B on the edge of a quiet town. Located perfectly for the bouldering of Fontainebleau and within easy reach of Paris for a day trip. The room was clean and comfortable with a double bed and bunk beds for the children. The kitchen and lounge facilities made it easy to prepare meals when we weren't eating out. A supermarket in the town had everything you needed too. |The breakfast each morning was perfect - plenty of tea/coffee and croissants, homemade jam, yoghurts etc. |Stef is a fabulous host and knows the area well. He was able to support our stay with his knowledge of the bouldering areas, restaurant suggestions and Paris logistics! ||Thank you for a wonderful stay - hopefully we will be back soon!

We stayed 4 nights at Stef's place and had a lovely stay. The room and bathroom were larger than expected. We were very comfortable and Stef was a wonderful host. He was very welcoming, recommended a wonderful restaurant and had a lot of knowledge on the local climbing areas. We also really enjoyed having breakfast with Stef every morning!

Stef was a wonderful host for our group of four. None of us speak any French, so Stef was an absolute necessity for finding the best bouldering and hiking spots. Breakfast served each morning with homemade fruit jams from his garden was a highlight. Highly recommend this place!
