WARNING: Don't rent apartment Roche Blanche 73 (or 71) from owner mme Christine Obry. She is a not-to-trust landlord/owner. When you rent her apartment, quite simple and dated, she charges you for 270,= euro's for cleaning and (bed)linnen. Besides that you have to pay a deposit of 600,= euro's. When you leave she takes another 150,= euro's from your deposit, because 'you haven't cleaned the kitchen area'. Absolutely ridiculous when you already have paid 270,= euro's for cleaning in the rent-amount.
Though we tried several times to explain to her that it is not fair, she doesn't listen and she simply paid us back only 450,= euro's of the deposit.

Apartment 169 is terrible. Avoid this rental. It is tiny. Whoever took the images must know Photoshop very well. Filthy dirty, no ventilation or proper heating. Unsafe and unlevel internal modifications carried out resulting in both tiny beds being unlevel giving sleep problems. The owner Olivier/Bezombes is an obnoxious compulsive liar. Promises the earth and then completely denies everything even though the contract says otherwise. Then when sending emails he picks and chooses when he can understand English and reverts to thinking he is a gangster. Total conman. Avoid and spend your money elsewhere.

Très propre au pied des piste avec une vue du balcon superbe

Stayed in La Roche Blanche apartment 177 during the second week of March as part of a group of 8 friends. All of the apartments in the block are privately owned so this review only applies to No. 177.||||Location: The apartment is in the centre of Val Thorens close to shops, restaurants and the sports centre; the bus station is a 5 minute walk away. In the morning a short (<100m) walk is required to get to the slopes, it is possible to ski to the rear door of the apartment block at the end of the day.||||General: The apartment is split over two levels, on the ground floor there is an open plan living, dining and kitchen area; a double bedroom; and a toilet/shower room. The upper floor contains 2 twin rooms and a sofa bed.||||Living Space: Sofas and chairs are provided in the living area along with a dining table that can seat 8 people. One of these sofas folds down into a double bed. A small TV is provided however we did not use it so cannot comment on what channels are available.||||Kitchen: The kitchen is modern and contains an electric hob/oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher. The only problem we had during our stay was that the oven did not work. A small portable oven had been provided but it was far too small to cook a meal for 8.||||Shower Room: There is one toilet/shower room on the ground floor containing a modern toilet, sink and shower.||||Bedrooms: The ground floor double bedroom is a good size however the bed itself is not the largest. One of the upstairs rooms is a good size, the other is fairly small. Both of the rooms have low ceilings due to the shape of the roof. An additional (single) sofa bed is located on the upstairs landing.||||Balcony: There is a good sized balcony the gets plenty of sunshine in the afternoon/evening. The apartment is on the 6th floor providing great views of the mountains.||||Summary: A great, reasonably priced apartment for skiing in Val Thorens.

I am skeptical about writing this review, purely because this place is such a gem! I stayed in the second week of March and have nothing but praise for this apartment. I went as a a group of 8 and can happily say this apartment provides more than enough room for 8 people, granted we were aged 24-25, so may not be used to some of the luxuries those a few years our senior may be accustom to. However this being said I have stayed in a number of apartments in various resorts and this offers significantly more room than the rabbit hutches found elsewhere. ||||The apartment is on the 6th floor and has a dual aspect balcony meaning sunshine hits it from 9am-6pm. The downstairs offers a well sized double bedroom, bathroom, modern kitchen area and large lounge/ diner area. The two sofas in the lounge are both double sofa beds, however pulling both out at the same time isn't possible unless rearranging the 8/10 person bench/ dinner table. ||||Upstairs there are 2 further bedrooms with twin beds, one of which has a bath and sink in as well as a further double sofa bed in the landing area. ||||The apartment is ski in/ ski out... a main blue run into Val Thorens runs directly behind the apartment and it is possible to ski to the backdoor of the ski room and vice versa a 30m walk bring you up the hill and ready to hit the slopes again.||||Ultimately this apartment provided the perfect mix of value, location and size for a great holiday... I will be returning!

Résidence très bien située pour retour skis aux pieds, le départ n'étant pas très loin. Petit bémol concernant l'insonorisation du bâtiment. Nous étions hors vacances scolaires, mais avec du monde quand même et franchement pas top lorsque des enfants pleurent ou s'il y a des jeunes qui rentrent tard, voir très tard dans la nuit. On entend absolument tout. Les appartements sont apparemment tous les mêmes et assez petits. Pour 2 personnes, ça peut aller, mais pas plus. La rue commerçante est tout près, pour le pain du matin le "Carrefour Montagne" ouvre à 7h30 et est bien provisionné.

Appartement extrêmement petit pour 2 adultes et 2 enfants mais ça passe.|L'accès aux pistes est à 5 min.|Immeuble vétuste, isolation phonique et thermique quasi inexistante, pas de wifi, les clés du casier à Ski ne fonctionnaient pas. On était en vacances la même semaine que le début des vacances des hollandais : l'horreur. Des cris en continu de 19h et toute la nuit les 3 premiers jours. Pourtant la police est juste en face mais aucune réaction ou intervention. Il y a pourtant des affiches partout dans la station rappelant les règles et amendes en cas de nuisances sonores nocturnes...|Le domaine est pourtant super mais nous ne reviendront pas à cause de cela ; impossible de dormir les 3 premiers jours.|Sympa pouf profiter de la journée de Ski ensuite...

Seul point positif, l'appartement est bien situé pour le ski aux pieds. L'appartement est quand à lui d'une époque ancienne et vétuste, année 1970. La nuit impossible de dormir plusieurs heures d'affilées sans être réveillés sans cesse par la horde de personnes en état d'ébriétés qui font la foire la nuit dans la rue. C'est bien dommage car le domaine skiable est extra.
